A Late Night Cry for Healing

“Take heart, your faith has healed you” Matthew 9:22

Lord, heal the wounds that have been inflicted upon my life. Pour out your mercy, so that I may be made whole.

Bring about renewal in my heart, so that am made sound and strong

Speak your Word deep unto me, so that I may know the truth, and listen, for your will and your council

Lord, I humbly go before You. I stand at the feet of your throne, confessing my sins and my lack of faith, so that you might heal me and correct every way that is crooked

Pour our your Spirit. Do what only you can do. Bless my life with your presence, and heal me, so that I may again, glorify You

Help me run with endurance. Train up my heart and my mind. Convince my spirit with your Truth, and by the revelation of your perfect love, so that I may serve You each day

I rest in You, and quiet my soul before You. I meditate upon your ways

The things that I have schemed for, I leave aside, so that your will becomes my all in all

My life has become weak, because I forgot to seek You each day. I focused upon earthly things, and not those of heaven. What great affliction has overtaken me!

Yet, I will return again and give glory to my God, through the entire expression of my life

I have been healed by God before. He has pulled me up from impossible places, where there was no light or hope, and now, I will trust that He will help me again.

For He is a God who loves His children. All who go before Him that are sick and broken, can be healed and made new again.   6/27/2007

On This Good Friday

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, and sat down at the right hand of the thrown of God. Hebrews 12:2

On this Good Friday, I give thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ; Our God and Savior, the one who has loved us throughout time

I praise Him for His sacrifice on this day so long ago and for His obedience to His Father in heaven, so that all His children might live and not perish

How painful His death, nailed there upon that wooden cross. What an incredible act, to bring a forgiveness of sin, for all of mankind, so that we might have hope through the power of His resurrection

Jesus Christ, you are the beginning and the end. The one who spoke this universe into creation. You blessed our world with a richness unlike any other, so we might live in all fullness before you

You thought of us since the beginning of time, and have loved what you have made, for it is good

How ugly and filled with depravity, then, is our sin. It leads us away from You and separates us, so that we become weak and confused in our lives; Falling into all kinds of misfortune and loss

Sin is separation from God

Jesus Christ is the healing power that returns us to Him

On that cross, Jesus carried the weight of all our sins. He shouldered the entirety of them, because He was God

As He died, He cast them away forever. He laid them to rest, so that our guilt might not condemn us, So that we might have hope in life; And hope in life, after death

Great was the sacrifice of Jesus Christ

How wonderful, that our God would love us so completely. That He would give up the life of His Son so that we might live, and suffer the pain of the cross plus the weight of all our sin;  so that we might find our way back to a communion with Him

We were made to live our lives in close friendship with our God, designed to be in love with Him. So that we might experience the true abundance of life as a human; To feel joy in life and to give joy to our creator

Blessed is the one who comes before Christ and gives thanks to Him. Who recognizes the incredible work that was accomplished upon the cross

They will begin to be transformed by the workings of God, and made pure by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ

None of us will be perfect in this world. We will do things and experience wrongs that are not right

But we do have a blessed hope of forgiveness that will never fail or falter. Both on this Good Friday, and for the rest of eternity   4/10/2020

Give Thanks to the God of Creation

 

Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.            1 Thessalonians 5:18

All you, who call yourselves believers in Christ, give thanks to your God. For He has blessed you far beyond any earthly measure

Cultivate a thankful spirit within your life, so that you might honor Him who dwells above the heavens. Yet, who also makes a home within our hearts

Look unto the grandness of His creation. Observe the stars of our Milky Way, the wonder of the Sun, and the beauty of the yellow Moon as it rises softly in the east

Give thanks to Him who spoke them all into existence

He arranged them just so, with the stroke of a master artist touch. In such fine precision and alignment, man’s greatest minds are speechless in wonder

Give thanks to God for creating this wondrous Earth. Who placed it within the perfect swirl, within a swirl, within a swirl…

How awesome are the assemblage of elements here. So stirring the sunrise, and so bright the cloudless sky. All the colors that the rainbow gives, dwell richly all across the world

Give thanks to our God for the fullness of His provision that sustains our lives. It has all been bestowed to us through His loving generosity and by the awesome work of His hands

Give thanks! Be thankful in all things. Try and recall all the blessings He has placed into your life

Bow before Him and speak prayers filled with thanksgiving. Sing songs overflowing from a joyful spirit

Give thanks to the God who loves you. For He has given you life and health, and filled all of your days with hope

The God of the universe is awesome and powerful. He dwells in inapproachable light. Purely righteous are all His ways, yet, He is filled with an infinite love towards us

He once cast off all of His heavenly glory and made Himself as a man, Jesus Christ. He dwelt on earth as a humble servant to mankind; though He was actually our King, our God, and our Creator

He went as far as to sacrifice His life and die upon a torturer’s wooden cross. So that we might know the taste, feel, and incredible blessing of salvation unto eternal life

Give your greatest thanks to our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Who stepped into time and this good creation and altered the course of history, forever

Give thanks for His goodness, mercy, and grace.

Praise Him for His Spirit, who dwells within every heart who believes Christ lives. For the Spirit helps guide all our paths towards salvation

Let all mankind be filled with thanksgiving; for our God is good.  1/15/2006

The Value of Wisdom In These Times

God’s Word

A virus has been born and it threatens our lives and our ways

The whole earth has been shaken, and a wave has spread out across our planet. Like a Tsunami, it sweeps across the lands causing panic, and dread, destruction, and loss

These are times of unprecedented fear. Suddenly, our bright future has become darkened, and what is to come is unknown and foreboding.

It is a good time to honor and respect good wisdom. We should always try our best to make the right choices. Don’t let fear overwhelm you and lead you away from the truth

Protect yourself. Look to what is true, and right, and good. Don’t put your hope into what are lies, or be mislead by those who wish to protect themselves first,  at a cost to others

Defend life, protect your families and your communities. Believe in those who have the best information for all. Who make wise recommendations for the health of you and your neighbors.

Beware of trusting first in money, for it is fleeting. Instead, value life, and strive to save as many people as possible. Money will return to those who act wisely and in good faith towards others. It will be given back, in adequate measure, to those who are faithful and true

Trust in those who speak with wisdom and love. Believe in those who tell the truth. Act and decide upon what is best for your families. Don’t betray others, but try to help as you can, for we are all in this together

Justice and life will prevail in the end

Carefully examine the facts. Judge them by the character of whom has presented them.

Know that God is all in all. His will and His love will prevail in the end

We are up against an unseen enemy that has no mind or conscience. How and why it came to be we will never know for sure. Its only function is to propagate and grow

We have but one choice against it. To reduce its spread, manage it, and then, try to stop it cold.

It will surely test us, but we must act according to our good character. We must choose wisely and use every bit of wisdom that we can muster

Be strong, honest, and good. Pray. Increase your faith and trust in God

Don’t give in to the fear that surrounds us, but use your energy and your wisdom to act out in love

Always go with God, for he will continually walk beside you through it all

Our Hope In Troubled Times

A righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers them from them all. Psalm 34:19

Our Lord is faithful in all things. He is not blind to our condition, nor is He ignorant of our situation or troubles

His feet tread next to ours, and His eyes are continually upon us

Jesus will always uphold us, and keep us safe, though we may feel otherwise

Be strong, don’t flee in panic, or retreat from your position. Stand upon His steadfast promises and rely upon His wisdom when things appear unclear

Avoid making earthly judgements on present conditions, even though everything seems to be falling down around you

For God’s eyes see through to the truth of the matter. They see past the smoke and the flames, and reserve safe harbors, just on the other side

Trials and troubles are sure to come into the life of every believer, and we are  made stronger in our faith as we endure them. Don’t fall back upon your old ways when the pressure comes, but be steadfast and obedient to Christ, who saves us unto eternal life

Know that these times are making you more complete in Him; so that your life will shine forth His life more brilliantly

Our Lord is faithful and true to all His promises

Continue on. Be thankful in the face of every trial and agony. Never cease praising Him, who has given you every spiritual blessing; who has made a provision for us that will never run out

Persevere each day by offering prayers to Him, so that He may always remain near to bless and strengthen you

Feed upon God’s words of truth. Study them, so you will have ready answers in tumultuous times

Rely on your patience, instead of your emotions. Wait upon the Lord. For He will act to work things out in their perfect time, and in a manner that will be best for all who believe in Him

Be patient. Do not fret and worry when there is nothing you can do anyway. Proceed upon God’s will, but wait, when He must do the heavy lifting

Release your tensions as you praise and worship Him. Find ways to spend time with fellow believers. Share your burdens with them, for Christ will work through each of you and create solutions far beyond what you hoped possible

Every saint must carry the weight of their own cross. Trials and troubles will certainly beset us. But, if we remain steadfast in our way, refusing to turn back, we will be made stronger in faith, and be filled with His love and Spirit

We can overcome all obstacles through Christ. For our God is always faithful and steadfast in His love for His children.   1/31/2006

Freedom’s Best Choice

Lord let not my freedom become as a prison to me. Nor, the free will that you have permitted, lead me to places where I might become trapped

But instead, with all of my life, may I live for You, and express abundant praise to glorify Your Holy name

This life can be difficult. Many of the paths we find ourselves on are hard, even dangerous. Yet, by Your hand, You will deliver me and set my feet upon safe places

I have a lifetime of choices set before me, a million ways by which I may go. But I will choose to follow You, Oh Lord, and seek after Your heart

Blessed are all of Your paths for me. Lead me upon them with joy. How glorious are the plans You have for the faithful

I seek Your heart, my God, and meditate upon Your Word. I catch sight of You wherever I go and glorify Your name above all

Help me with this gift of freedom. Assist me, so that I might become a sweet offering unto You

Lift up my heart and mind, so that I may praise You, rightly; And fill me with the presence of Your Holy Spirit, so that I might become more complete in You

Make me strong, so that I can handle my freedom. Wake me and set me upon my feet. Cast off all laziness, so that I may work and accomplish Your will

You lie at the heart of all of creation, and are the strength behind all that is. Your ways are so far above mine, that I am at loss to understand

But You are also faithful to lead me, Your truth has shown the way. Therefore, I bow and kneel before You and worship You above all things

The gift of Your freedom is immeasurable; it carries with it great weight and peril. But I, Oh Lord, will serve You, and give You full control all of my days         9/13/2007

The King of the World

 

How glorious is the Lord, Jesus Christ, and majestic, His Holy name

He stands above all creation, beautiful and glorious. His form is like no other and His ways are beyond all measure

He calls out from upon high. He stands and beckons

His strength is stronger than the mighty mountains, and position, more firm than the foundations of earth

He rules over all creation, and guides its every ebb and flow. Nothing can rise up against Him. Nor could anything be done by man, that could move Him even slightly

He stands firm in power, the days of His reign will last forever more. We live beneath His feet

He skips across the tops of the lofty peaks and dances upon mountain heights, where none can reach or aspire to

Yet, He loves us. He pours out endless grace and mercy as a gift upon all that dwells below, and for the blessing of our lives

He is a fountain. A nourishing spring, filled with all goodness and grace

Jesus calls out to us, He shouts out from His holy mountain and calls out to man to the farthest reaches. He extends His hand to all who dwell upon this earth

What a friend we have in Christ Jesus. Our savior, filled with love; He will dwell with us forever and lift us up on that final day

Seek Him, for He can be found. Look unto His glory. For He can be seen from every place we go

Call out to Him and listen, because He has been calling out to you. Give your life as an offering unto Him, for He has bestowed the gift of life to you

When you do, He will surely come, and will fill your life with joy and gladness

For through Him, we have eternal life and friendship, forever

My Love Meets God’s Love

I will pray for a forgiving heart and seek God’s will when dealing with others

For I am coarse and hard sometimes. My anger wells up inside of me and I grow cold

But the Lord softens my heart. He speaks to me with words of wisdom and guides me in ways of compassion and understanding. His teachings are a surprise to my attitude. They are a revelation to my nature

Help me, oh Lord, to seek you each day. Remind me to draw close to Your side. For I am easily led astray, my mind wanders on to paths that are not Yours

Help me to learn Your compassion, so that I may bless those I see each day

How great is the wisdom and compassion of God. He sees where I cannot, and pardons when I cry out for biased judgment

The Lord forgives when I would prefer revenge, and He loves, when I can only act out in my selfish ways

Lead me in Your paths. Show me how I should forgive and forget, and not to lash out at those who have wronged me. But, to give them a response from Your will, oh Lord

I know and perceive that You care about all people. That You have a heart for everyone in Your creation. If they are good and seek You, Our Lord rejoices in heaven, and is pleased

But if they have done wrong. You seek them and are quick to forgive them, if they ask. You have great patience for the wicked

Lord, help me to seek the best in others. Let me be quick to forgive them, with a caring heart

May my prayers for others, be continually brought before You. For I know that you care for those around me. For we are all Your children

There are differences between us, but You preferred it that way. There are times when troubles arise between us, but You have shown us how to work through our disputes

Finding Life’s Path

Teach me your way, o Lord; Lead me in straight paths
Psalm 27:11

Lord, purify me, so that I may be a blessing upon the Earth

Lead me not unto temptation, but delivery me towards a pathway filled with Your truth and light, so that I may do good in this world and not evil

Enable me to do things that have an eternal effect. Daily acts that help build Your kingdom

Oh Lord, may I be guided by Your truth, and taught through Your Word. May I be made strong by these, so that I may accomplish Your will

Lord You are eternal. May my life make a difference for You long past my days

My God, You have blessed the entire Earth that You created. May I bless this earth and seek to heal the harms that have come upon it

My savior, You offer us salvation through Jesus Christ. Remind me always, to lead others towards this truth

Our Lord desires that we stay close to Him, and always seek His council. May my life always stay grounded in You through prayer, praise, and worship, so that Your spirit may always dwell richly within me

For You are the way, the truth, and the light of all the world. I shall always be thankful unto You

Our lives are like a brief flash of light; A puff of mist that quickly disappears. We are here today, but who can guarantee the tomorrows that lie ahead?

During our brief days, we can make a difference through our life. We can affirm that which is eternal in God, and be reflections of his truth and His light. Who knows How God might use us?

Even though everything we do may seem insignificant, God can use us to bring His purposes to fruition

Through faith and obedience to His call, we are put into action, and through our actions, God can accomplish His work

Without God, we can do nothing. But when we do God’s will, He does amazing things

Life is short, but many are the plans of God’s people. We strive after so many things during our life, but it is the Lord’s purpose that always prevails

Lord help me to realize this each day, and to always do your will. Let me see the eternal during the day to day

Teach me to value that which will have eternal consequences, which magnify your love flowing through my life

In You God, is abundance of life and light. Let it shine forth through me as I live out this gift, my life.    11/24/19

Do What You Can

He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. Luke: 21:2

Do what you can do for Christ. Even the smallest things count, if they are born from our heart

Who knows how God will take something, a word that we have said, a kind gesture we have given, or even a thought or silent prayer, and use it for His glory

Jesus can take what we give, and bless it. He can add to the little we have spent forth and make something more from it

He can develop upon our actions, gloriously

So do what you can for Him. Be comfortable, make it real. Dream up something that glorifies God, then give it to Him as your offering

Share it with others. Be yourself. Do what comes naturally, when your heart is filled with love for Him

Give what you can to those around you, but give it to them in such a way that always honors them. With all respect, so as not to diminish the work of the Spirit of Christ

The measure of God is not like ours. For He observes the purity of our motivation and the love that shines forth from our life

He does not regard the greatness of our power or stature, or the things that people consider important. Jesus values the little things done in love

He celebrates each act of kindness, and treasures those who give from the wellsprings of their heart

He applauds the gift of a penny, when it was born from a faithful generosity. But is saddened, by the donation of millions upon millions, when it was done only for self gratification

There are opportunities to make our faith real. They come with each moment and are found within every situation

They need not be grand, or powerful, or noticeable in any way, but always real, filled with the love we have for Christ         1/23/2007
