Stand Up and Serve God

Let all people so consider us, as servants of Christ, and stewards of the mystery of God. 1 Corinthians 4:1

Teach me, Oh God, You’re wisdom and impart to me knowledge, so that I may be made sound and wise. Able to control every foolish desire that wells up from inside my heart.

Bring to my rememberence every slip of my toungue. Help me bless others and not curse them, or say words that dishonor You.

Show me Lord, so that I may be made more pure.

As I awake with each new day’s light, let me give all that I have into Your keeping, even my right to myself.

Let every thought become captive, and my every action arise from your perfect will.

Make me an instrument that continually glorifies our God and Maker.

How incredibly good it is that our God heals us. He mends us to the uttermost, and then calls us to stand up and serve Him.

To live before all the people of this earth as a testmony to His love and an example of His perfect goodness.

So that we might stretch out our hands and bless others, even to share the very love of God that dwells within our hearts.

Because of this, many will percieve the truth and begin to see the greatness of their God. That they may understand the beauty of the Gospel message, and turn from their ways to look upon their Lord in faith.

May I make this my prayer each day, for this is God’s will to all his family, the Church. That through the perfect wisdom of God, we might proclaim the mystery of Christ to the world.

Help us speak in clear and persuasive ways to all people. Not just by our words, but also by our deeds.

Fill us with Your wisdom and grace, oh God. Season us also, so that we might have an answer for every question that comes our way.

For everyone would find God desirable, if only they could see and understand who He is.

Live your life in such a way, as God leads you, that many might see and believe in Jesus Christ  through your life.   1/27/2007
