Grateful For Your Mercy

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.  Psalm 103:8

Lord Jesus, full of mercy and grace, I thank you this day for looking out for me

Though I am not feeling good, You placed me into the hands of skilled and caring people and they put me on to a strong path for healing

I am grateful for all the care I have recieved

Lord you have blessed my life for good. Even though I have not always deserved it, Still You have cared for me and formed a shield of protection all around my life.

What could I ever have done to deserve this?

How could I ever thank you enough for blessing my life?

In so many ways your mercy has reached out and surrounded me. It has stepped in and saved me through illness and injury and brought protection when difficult situations suddenly came upon me

When I look back I can see your hands at work in my life and the love that you had for me

And I am grateful Lord, for You have been so good

I see the people you brought near to me. Those who knew and loved me and others who showed up at the right times. They helped show me the way, mended my hurts, and healed my wounds

Each one somehow found the time to help me. Even when their lives were busy and they were dealing with their own things

I see how You hands were at work then, Lord. They are still busy to this day

But, I have not always been thankful, Jesus, and there were times when I took things for granted

Now, I clearly see on this day how You have watched over my life with care

Thank you, Jesus

Your mercy saved my life and healed me

Blessed Savior, I am in awe of Your love and mercy. I am grateful beyond words at how you have cared for me

Life is a journey filled with all the experiences common to life. Yet, it is Your love, mercy, and grace that help carry us through all the hard times

Isn’t it sad that during the good times we may come to forget; And we who have been so blessed by You, fail to remember who has been so good to them each and every day of their life

Oh Lord, you freely give to us each day in full measure

How great is our God, in Jesus Christ. I remember You this day and give thanks

And though I can not even comprehend the depth and width and height of your love, I sense it, feel its power, and understand how it has worked in my life

May I always be thankful, and remember how good you have been to me and be ever grateful for the blessings you have freely given to one so small.  8/21/2026

Seek Forgiveness

Bee on Poison Oak
But there is forgiveness with You, that You may be awed. Psalms 130:4

The past is fixed in stone, it cannot be moved. What has been done and what has been said can never be changed

No amount of worry can ever alter the past, but, love and a righteous way can heal many wounds and bind up that which has been injured

Scars may remain, but God will forgive all who are faithful, and pour out new life into those who are broken

We fail, and often fall along the way. Our righteousness is never good enough. But, in Christ we are made new each day. No form of transgression that overcomes us, will cause us to lose our position in Christ

We sin, get back upon your feet. Our faith is found lacking, return to God with a humble spirit

Confess your sins before Him. Ask of His forgiveness. Repent, and pour your heart out to Him and He will be just to forgive you

Truly, our God is full of love for His children, and though every believer will sometimes fail, in Christ we are made victorious

Resist sin, cleanse yourself from all unrighteousness. Do not allow yourself to become its slave, but seek God’s forgiveness so that you might be restored to health again. For all who sin must pay a severe price.

Remember, judgement begins within the house of God. We who are faithful, will not be spared the direct negative effects of sin, because our physical  past is fixed in stone.

How unpleasant is the withdrawing of God’s sweet presence to all those who have known communion with Him, and how great is the sense of guilt, when we realize our sins have been done against our Lord

The one who has given us all good things, even eternal life, Our savior Jesus Christ, went to the cross and suffered incalculable pain, so that our sins might be taken away

How great then, is the destructive weight of our sin. What complete displeasure our God must feel, that He would go so far as to offer up His Son on our behalf

We cannot do anything about the past, but we can resolve each day to live an obedient life unto Him, and to take up our own cross in respect, awe, and in faith. 10/27/2006

A Benediction For Renewal

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

May the Lord draw you near this day and remind you of His presence, so that you might remember your place in Him, and be restored towards a completeness in faith

On this day, come back to your God. Return from your wandering, so that you might be made whole again, and be healed from the wounds that sin has inflicted upon you

May God richly bless you this day with the revealing of His truth and wisdom. So that you may see clearly the road ahead, and begin again, to follow His ways of living

By His power and through His love, He will begin to restore every broken place, and lift up those who may be broken, to renew them by His truth and goodness

May the Lord of righteousness, walk with you each day, our one true savior, and heal those wounded places, so that you may be of sound mind, body, and soul

Cease from your wandering. Leave behind, those things that cause desolation. Build up your life within the strength of God, and be made new

May you come before the Lord each day; and with each waking of the morning, return again to Him, so that you might call upon His name, and listen

Never tire from seeking our Lord, for He will return to all who look for His presence, and will soon be beside those who desire His friendship

Cry out to God, and come back home to a place of safety and communion with Him

Return, once again, and be filled with God’s Spirit and truth. There you will find a safe haven from the storms of life

May the Lord always remind you of His love for you, and bring to remembrance  the magnitude of His goodness. For all good things come from Him. All that has ever been a blessing in your life, has been a gift from God

Sin is a liar. It promises, but always withdraws true reward. Instead, it’s bite is like a venomous snake, which shows no mercy upon its victims

May God continue to deliver you from every form of evil, and draw you near today, so that you may be filled with all fullness of life.  11/18/1006
